Gray Wolves in the Great Lakes handed a reprieve

Anyone who has been following the effort to keep our gray wolves listed as endangered species, under the Endangered Species Act, knows that it has been a battle between wolf activists imploring the use of science, and the politicians in our U.S.Congress.

But we now have a win for our wolves, and I hope it will stick for a while.
Our wolves need a break, and wolf advocates need to know
that their blood, sweat, and tears were not spilled in vain.

I have known about the bison slaughters that happen outside of Yellowstone for a while, had a chance to met a wonderful soul on Twitter, who was running a marathon to raise awareness about our bison, and the Buffalo Field Campaign.

This situation breaks my heart.
I can not direct you to a petition or an NGO to help, but I can ask you to please follow:  runningforthebuffalo ‏@running4buffalo if you are on Twitter.........
and runningforthebuffalo.wordpress.com
Let's help our bison.

His brushwork is at once disciplined and vigorous. His best on-the-spot sketches possess an intensity and freshness of execution not dissimilar from Van Gogh."[11]
